How do I stop the squeaks from the Super Record brake lever and brake combo? NOS levers, Cables and housing...used brake calipers. Help, my bike sounds like a donkey!!!

it squeaks before the pads make contact w/ rim when the bike isn't even moving

you should lube or oil all moving parts - especially if new. springs - pivot points etc etc

use light to medium coarse sand paper and scrub the pads well and so that they have a flat surface. clean the rims surface of old brake rubber and perhaps use a fine grit paper on the braking surface as well.

as said toe in the brakes and then let bthem "bed-in" that should tfix most squeeks. if not try to fit a different wheel to see if its the rims surface that causes the squeeking, perhaps try different pads like matthauser and so on..... basically when you find the right combo of rim to pad and all the parts are well lubed then sqqueking should be gone - but its not always the case as some just squeel no matter what is done in a classic and retro style :-)
