|My legs cramped up on me towards the end of a 50mi road race this weekend past to the extent that I had to stop and stretch out before continuing, losing about ten places in the process.
I had a banana before the event, it was a warm day but not killer hot, and my hydration level at race's end was 1-1/2 bottles consumed; plus two Clif Shot gels during race.
Any advice on how to avoid this from happening again? Good sources of potassium?
