What gear, cadence and speed do you guys avg on time trials?

Also it would be great if you can tell about your racing class (ie cat 1 2 or 3 etc etc)
90-110; 53X17,16; 15km @ 39km/h ; Cat 3-4. I generally suck. nmSpunout

Depends on your wheel size, the type of tire, the inflation, your weight.

Once your roll out distance is precisely established (distance covered of one revolution of wheel with tires inflated to normal pressure and rider on board) then the rest is basic mathematics. Multiply distance by 3.8 X 100 for one minute distance. Multiply by 60 for speed per hour. If working in metric divide then by 1000 to convert to KPH.

Your ratio, for a 700/27" wheel, appears close to a 53/14 gear and on my bike would be about 47-48 kph.
