|training w diff crank length Q...||joe mudd|

i'm currently road racing/training(cat 4) with 172.5 cranks,and still like to train (hammer out) some good ascents (etc.) on the mountain bike which composes a set of 175 mm cranks.
i feel comfortable with the 172.5's on the road bike, and
the slightly longer crank on the mtb has played an advantage a few times during tech sections of a ride.
(priority is the spin on the road bike.)
so i'm wondering what everyone's thoughts(especially you spin doctas)/experiences are on training/spinning with different crank lengths, and the importance, or unimportance of changing out the 175's for 172.5 cranks on the mtb.
ride on !

|The answer remains the same. It will not likely even be noticeable, let alone make any difference. The riding style is so different between road and MTB that 2.5 mm is meaningless compared to all the other issues.|

thanks for your valued reply(again).
i reposted hoping to get more feedback, possibly arguing both sides, as the last posting swiftly buried into previous page.
thanks again !
