Just back from the neurosurgeon and I've got a clean bill of health and cleared to race. So needless to say I am more than amped to get back into the swing of things.
I've spent the past couple of weeks sneeking in some training and my wattage numbers are higher then before my surgery and through the ordeal I managed to lose 20 pounds as well...so hopefully this will lend to better performance on the bike. I figure ill spend the next few weeks loading up the base miles but I'm thinking about racing this weekend just to get back into the flow...but well see!
Well I just wanted to check in and say hello and warn everyone that Im back in action! =)

|Congrats on the good health report! No burnout for you this year!
But, ah, what is your secret? How'd you increase your power without training much? I wanna know and apply it to my training!
|I havent a clue...maybe due to the nature of my injury!||BigLeadOutGuy|

|Oh man, I wish I knew what was up with the numbers. I think its just a fluke, but I did a ride today that I always do to test my fitness and I was 3mph faster then normal and did it in a quicker time.
I think that its more due to the injury i had was making me weak, the tumor was growing into my spinal coulumn and onto the s.cord itself...in turn pinching the cord and impeding all of my nerual responses. Kind of like when you kink a garden hose...the water just doesnt flow. The doctor said the spinal cord was being pinched closed 90% I assume robbing me of a lot of strength...so I guess now that the tumor is out and the cord is going back to normal it just made me stronger. I dunno...could be the weight loss helped too...thats all medical mumbo-jumbo they tell me....The real test of truth will be if I win races or not! lol
Ill keep you informed and let ya know what happens...gimmie a couple of weeks to get my feet under me. then we can see for sure =)

|Good to hear about your recovery!
Just one question tho . . . if the surgery makes you faster, wouldn't that be considered an ergogenic aid? And if so, is it legal??
Just kidding, good luck this season!
