How would one specifically train so as to improve on the long steady exertions, both in racing and group rides? I do great on the hills, at least when I'm really going hard, but when the road flattens out I have trouble keepin on. I'm not really a climber by nature, as I weigh in at 175 and am 74 inches tall. Is this a strength problem? Do I just need to get in the wind and ride all out for long periods, or maybe a LT regimen would help? I'm sort of stumped

Any ideas? Weights? Longer intervals? (Motorpacing is not really an option.)
