|Even Cat 5 can seem hard, huh? You would think there would be something easier. Below that, I think you're stuck racing to the city limit sign with your local bike club.
Occasionally, there are "citizens" races, though.

|Around here its Cat5/Citizen, and then broken down by gender and age. Don't be fooled, if you are going to race even in that low bracket,you had better bring the goods.|

|the first time I did a crit I was expecting guys in hibrids and bikes with panniers to show up for cat 5. Much to my surprise I saw a lot of club / team jerseys and high end bikes. I got shot out the back after 12 min of racing. Now I can stay to the end but I don't have the strength to contest the sprint. Because of this I decided to do easier cycling activities like Double Centuries.|
