|Rode in the MS 150 this weekend and one of the guys in our group iced down his thighs for about 15 minutes after the first day, claiming it would cut down on the lactic acid buildup and keep his legs fresher for the second day. Any of you racers use that technique for stage races? If so how well does it work?
He got the idea when he was working at our local arena...the pro hockey players would stand in ice between games for 15 minutes on double header days to keep their legs fresh.
