Anyone racing this series this year? I am looking at trying out a crit and wondering if this is the right place to start here in Denver. Thanks

There's a Cherry Creek TT but no Crit that I've seen. If you want to try a crit do one of the Stazio training crits in Boulder. If you don't want to travel outside of Denver you will have to wait a while. The whole calendar is here, www.americancycling.org .

Ahh my fault I meant the TT. Have you raced it before? Since this will be my first season racing I was wondering what it is like.

The first thing you need to know is that you have to sign up early, the start times have been full for about a month. Are you in? Try and get on the wait list if you're not. The course is pretty good with one serious hill and one gradual hill. The turn around is like a round about so there is no going around a cone or anything, it's a fast turn. The really good guys do the 10.5 mile course in about 20 minutes on a good day, the rest of us mortals are in the 23-25 minute range. It's fun. This year I have a weekly bet of a six pack for each race. We set handicaps on the first day with the added incentive of a case to make sure nobody sandbags. It's good training, I'm looking forward to it. I'm going to be getting my TT bike dialed in this weekend.

Ahhh well I have not signed up yet. I will shoot for the waiting list then to give it a shot once or twice this year then. Seems like it would be a fun challenge. Thanks for the information.
