Cat 5 road races in the Bay Areagnailuh

Hi,

I started in Tris but now I'm really loving road riding. I would like to do a few cat5 road races before the Tri season starts in June. I looked around in active.com and can't really find any. Do you know of some site or place I can look to find some entry level cat5 races in the greater Bay Area? I'm not interested in crits, just 30-60 mile road races.

Thanks.

Check out www.ncncna.org for the calendar. You can start with one day licenses ($5) filled out at the race. If you like it go to www.usacycling.com for an annual lic.

Almost all the races have a Cat5 race or a combined 4/5.
My favorite early season ones (not all in the Bay Area, but worth the drive):
Pine Flat RR is a great one, hilly.
Snelling is flat, usually windy.
Mclane RR, windy
Copperopolis RR hilly windy
Two Rock RR beautiful
Berkeley Hills RR beautiful

Leave the aerobars and little wheels at home, don't be a squirrely triathlete out there!!!

Well, I did a 17 mile ITT hosted by the san jose bike club. Not an uscf event, but pretty fun. 53 people in 6 cats... I went into cat 5 (19 person group). Ended up 2nd in my group. They have a 50 mile road race in 2 weeks. Will give that a shot too.

B123, I have a normal road bike... no bars and 650s... :)
