Hi! It's the 2nd year Cat 5 fool again. I have had my road bike overhaul right after the New Year. It took a week to get it overhauled,but it was probably due for it. While it was getting overhauled, I did some stationary biking,and some swimming or paddling in a pool. I was wondering how is this going to help when I get back on the bike this weekend. Thanks in advance for advice.

As long as you maintained intensity and time (volume) just about anything will be OK for one week off the bike. Even if you weren't going hard, a little rest right now will not really affect your performance in races that are 8 weeks away.
