Chatfield Training RideBrokenSpoke

Does anyone have any information about this ride? I think it is loosely organized by Denver Spoke but the person I spoke with yesterday had no idea about the ride. Everyone parks on the road just after the C-470 going toward Chatfield on Wadsworth, but I can't remeber what day, or what time the ride goes off at. What I do remeber is that it is a great winter training ride out through Roxbury and back. Thanks for the help.

Not sure if they are going on right now but generally a pretty big ride with varying abilities. Usually the stronger riders form a group that breaks off on the climb up Arrowhead. Overall a pretty easy 90 minute ride around Chatfield with the aforementioned climb up Arrowhead.

Thanks. I've done the ride in the past and love it. Just couldn't remember the time or day, old age I guess. That would also explain why no one was there last Sunday around 8:30. Thanks again and good luck at the res.

In two weeks I am hoping to get in some decently hard group rides on the weekend. The Saturday Chatfield ride sounds like it might be the hardest ride on Saturday but what about Sundays? I will ride from downtown Denver so 8am rides from the suburbs might be a little difficult (I hate to drive to rides). Any suggestions?

You can shoot up Florida or take the Platt all the way out to Bear Creek and then to Morrison. The ride starts at 9. It shouldn't take you much more than an hour to get out there.

I realize driving to a training ride can make little sense but there is the Cyclelogic ride on Sundays up in Boulder. Leaves Sunday at 10, I think, from Vic's on the other side of Pro Peloton. It was running all last winter and spring though I don't know if it has starterd up yet.

There is a ride currently starting from Meridian (upper parking lot) at 11:00 am on sundays. Not a hammer fest right now, just steady with a few sprints to stop signs and such. Mostly cat 1-2s. Rides are around 2 1/2-3 hrs around Douglas Cty.
