Cycling-Specific Gyms(3 posts)

If boxers have their own specific gyms, why doesn't someone come up with a gym that specifically caters to cyclists. The perilous sport of rock climbing has seen the advent of the Rock Gym (which unfortunately destroyed most purist attitude and tactic towards the sport). The cycling gym would have most of the traditional machines and weights, but had say a bunch of fluid trainers and a classroom filled with rollers for roller-classes. And coaches for drills, who would, of-course, be on local teams as well.
Perhaps a non-profit business structure would be fitting. ANy ideas? Has this been tried on a non-olympic level?

It's called Young's Training Center in Orange County, CA. It's run by Roger Young, former Olympic Team coach. He still has a couple of Olympic Caliber athletes but he trains all kinds of folks at YTC. He's a great guy.
