|I started reading "The Cyclist Training Bible" but its seems that its for people who been racing for a few years .
What does a beginner read to get a good start?
Should I keep reading and apply what I can?

|Take Friel's advice and just dial it down to your level. Cut the volume, intensity, gearing suggestions, etc. and ratio them down to something you can do. This will work fine for you. However, this assumes that you want to be a racer (this is the racing forum). If you only want to build fitness, then just ride as much as you can while throwing in some intervals (short and long, one each per week), a recovery day per week, and you should be good to go.|

|On your advice I bought the book,just wanted to know if I should of read something else first.
