Vuelta, what is the deal?CharlesTT

Why did they start with a team time trial? It was a mistake because whole teams and there leaders are loosing whole minutes to other teams by the first day. On the start day for the tour, on a 9k TT you loose only a few seconds, anyone have anything else to say about this?

Its a climbers race...so it forced the teams to work on something else...Individual TT will be important this year too. Frankly I am glad Simoni lost so much time. TTT forced the teams to do something perhaps they would not have preped for otherwise. Glad Marios back :)

Between the 1st and the 4th or 5th stage, or whatever? THe GC contenders will still, more or less, get the same time differences before the mountains start (like in the tour the last two years). The first mountain stage isn't until stage 5, so a TTT prior to that would for all intents and purposes have the same outcome no matter which stage it occurred on.
