Any thoughts on a one day race of 228km? I am injury free, fit and looking forward to this. Its 7 weeks away.

Just wondering on your opinions on your favourite food & hydration, survival strategies etc.

Course profile includes an 17km 1000 plus meter elevation climb at around 4-6% at around 90kms and undulating to hilly profile until the finish at around 500 meters elevation. Tough!

Has anyone carbo-loaded (Astrand or Costill methods) over a number of days?

Advice for 6-7 hours in the saddle?

Anything that might help appreciated.
