I am a 19 year old racer in England originally from Chicago and i need to know what i need to do to become a professional cyclist. Any info is good info. Should i be looking for a coach?

You need to ride your bike. Do you even race? Yes, a coach will help.

yes i race i race the under 23 circut in england and europe. Where can i find a coach?Is there anything else i can do(specific workouts,training,weight lifting).

Go to the Association of British Cycling Coach's website. You should be able to contact a qualified coach in your area through them. They are at www.abcc.freeserve.co.uk.

Just curious, since the sport entails great sacrafice on one's way to becoming a pro (if you get that far):

Have you done any research into what a pro cyclist actually earns? A valid question since you are contemplating an actual profession rather than a mere hobby. (hint: 98% of professional cyclists do not earn very much money)

Do you have a team? Do they speak english? Wouldn't you trust them over a bunch of knucklheads on the internet? I know you are only 19, but I'm a little shocked at your approach, and a little suspicious, but that's just my nature.
