I need a computer with HR in addition to the usual functions. This is for my TT bike. Oh, did I mention that I need one CHEAP? Any recommendations would be great. Thanks.

Cheapest I've seen is the Cateye HB-100. Costs 99 bucks, looks like a regular handlebar computer, but also includes HR monitor. Lots of good features on this one, too.

Nicest ones are probably Polar S-series, not cheap!
S-510, $215 at Colorado Cyclist.

Also very nice: Polar Protrainer XT-cycle, wireless, $149

Please post if you find cheaper/better. I'm in the market, too.

$35 computer and HR. Doesn't have all the fancy functions of a regular HR but it works well, I've been using one for a few weeks now and it's fine, comfortable strap too.

or that price if it lasts a year I'll be happy. I have heard nothing but good about them from other riders, they last longer than that.

whats up buddy?! how have ya been?
The new vetta comps look killer...the wireless cadance with the HRM! what more could you ask for a totally wireless comp with HRM and wireless cadence. I havent used the v100 series but I have a couple of the rt77s and they work pretty sweet. I like the average candence function. The V100 series are pretty penny, but considering all the stuff they got on em its not that bad a deal.
drop me an email, lemme know how you are doing!

I was thinking about getting one but I dont know if they will mount so well on oversized bars. I had trouble finding comps to mount wit the OS bars.

Hi there,

I have a Sports Instruments SI-90 computer/HR unit that I'm willing to give you to use as long as you need. I'm just too lazy to mount it because I don't have 2 pickups (oval and round spoke issues). The HR function works the best of any I've used.

e-mail me if you're interested.
