setting up a practice crit course in my neighborhood?namir

Hi! I'm a relatively new rider, and I want to set up a practice crit course in my neighborhood to train on.

What features should it have?
How long should it be?
Approximately how many laps is an average crit race?
Is this is a totally stupid idea?

Thanks!

Not stupid at all.allervite

First of all it should be safe and free of taffic. Then make it as cornery as hell with at least one fast corner. length does not matter. Use regular training rides and intervals to improve endurance, power, speed etc.

Use your crit course to learn to corner with confidence!

Have fun.
