Will Cippo Retire?BigLeadOutGuy

Has anyone seen the article in velonews.com that says cippo is going to retire?! I knew he would feel snubbed about not being selected to ride in the tour...but this?!?!?
It is pretty ridiculus that his team wasnt selected to ride in the tour...but as usual leBlanc goes for the french team...what else is new?
Leblanc stated that he didnt think that the aqua&sapone team would be able to finish the tour!! Is that a joke or what? Having cippo there would only make the tour that much more interesting.
any thoughts?

he may have had a short episode of pique. he can win the world championships, and he can get Alfred Binda's record next year. I would not be surprised if he rescinds his decision long enough to take care of that unfinished business.
second, I certainly admire him, but he has yet to finish a TDF. doubtless the A&S team could finish the Tour, but Cipo won't. so, it wasn't entirely unjustifiable to exclude him; I might have done so in LeBlanc's place. but yes, no matter what his presence would enliven the Tour. he's so colorful.

he'll use it a a grand scheme to stage a "comeback".
Mike Sinyard, from Specialized was quoted as saying they were in negotiations with him. Sinyard is an old school bike guy, but is widely known as being a shark when it comes to business. Cipo is contracted to Specialized, as well as A&S. I'll bet the threat of a breach of contract suit will get his ass back on the road!
What Would He Do?BigLeadOutGuy

If he wasnt on his bike he'd probably end up partying with strippers and playboy bunnies all night!!! who would ever want that?!
hahaha
i hope he doesnt retire. they said on OLN today that he did announce his retirement though. I bet hed come back to get the record for stage wins in the giro.
even if he doesnt finish the tour...1.5 week of le tour with cippo is better than 3 weeks with...ummmm....whos that team that replaced saeco....franco de jour or something?!
hehehe
get the point? =)
I heard McDonalds is hiring for a deep fry cook!LC

Really he could do some acting or something. He is famous enough in Europe to get into acting if he wanted and make the big money.
He'd hang out w/Dennis Rodmanpben
