Track Gearing - Any advice??TeamWB

Anyone have any advice about track gearing for match sprints? Decided to make a jump from crits to track. Have a frame but was wondering what most sprinters are running both front and rear. Also, wondering if there are any good sites to pick up used track gear. Thanks!

I'ts going to depend on your particular strengths.

How quickly can you spin up a big gear?

How high can you take your cadence and remain smooth?

Are you going to try to burn the sprint from the start (I've won a few this way), or go to the last 200m?

How steep is the banking at your track (helps get the gear going if that's where you take it from)?

Usually you'll see something around 90 gear inches. If you're a monster, then you can go a little higher.
