Looking for a good training log(6 posts)

Looking for a good training logcanal_pdx

I'm looking for a decent training log. I would prefer something open source so I can make modifications if I want to. I know, a spread sheet will work but I would prefer a nicer UI.

Anybody have any suggestions?

I use CyclistsLog on my palm m515, there's a windows version as well but I haven't tried it. You can look at summaries for the current week/month/year but you can't see a week-by-week summary, at least on the palm version. I think the windows version has more reporting options. It lets you enter everything else though, route, time, distance, heartrate, if its an event, what equipment used, etc. You can find them at http://www.fitnesslogs.com

Also there are a bunch of online logs, most are hooked up with an online coach so you have to pay for them, but there is a free one at http://www.active.com/activetrainer/

I just downloaded the windows version of cyclist's log to try out, and it does let you graph distance, time, etc by week, month, year; the reporting interface isn't the greatest but it lets you do a lot more than the palm version.

And it sync's to the palm version too, which is nice!

(std disclaimer, I don't have anything to do with the author of that app, but I've been using it for a while and it works for me)

What's your email address and I'll send it to you. I've been using it for a couple of years so I have to update the days of the month but it's pretty good.
Can i have it too???SGrouts

I'd appreciate it, my email is stammt@yahoo.com, thanks!

I also googled for "bicycle training log" and a bunch of results came up, a few excel spreadsheets, some freeware/shareware stuff, and a few commercial apps. I downloaded the spreadsheets and freeware options and I'll check them out over the weekend if I get a chance.
