Stage race with 3 days restChrisA

I'm racing in a mtn bike series (6 races) and doing road races as well. In 4 weeks I have a mtn bike race on a Sunday and then I start a 4 day stage race (Fitchburg) the following Thursday. I want to do well in both races. I'm looking for advice on tapering before these two events and what to do between the two events. I tend to need 2-3 days recovery after a mtn bike race before doing any real intensity training. I'm trying to peak beginning with the mtn bike race and through the follwing 4 weeks. Thanks for your advice.

I'd just do some easy rides of less-than-moderate distance in the days between. You're not going to gain or lose anything in those three days between, but you can feel a little flat if you go completely off. Just do some easy rides with a couple jumps thrown in.
