Ive always noticed when reading training programs that interval days are mostly after about three or days on. What about going straight to interval day after a off day?

In my opinion If you are consistent (you keep training at least 4-5 times a week) I dont see why. One day rested muscles can give you better performance. I would put a recovery ride in between two interval trainings though..

I like to go every other day with my intensity during the week. I do intensity on Tuesday and Thursday with a recovery ride in between, and it works really well for me. I would always put the recovery ride in between though, as going from an off day right into a interval day can kind of hurt at first. However, if you warm up really well it shouldn't be a problem. Just expect the first intervals to hurt more than usual.
I know some riders doing 2 on 2 off 20 day block.titansprodigal

Yes, im consistent, 9-10hrs p/wk. I know some riders doing 2 interval sessions back to back then two off completely for 20days. I tried the back to back intervals and i really felt good both days after a two day rest prior.
2 days completely off (no easy spin)? (nm)mtber
