You asked a question about the cable goodies I put on the Colnago CX bike, and now I think the thread has scrolled or something.

Anyway, the stuff I was talking about can be gotten from the QBP catalog (Quality, just ask your LBS). They are called "Jagwire" cable seals, and consists of cable housing seals and wipers to keep muck from getting drawn up into the cable housings and making your shifting crunchy. I think a bag of these things runs about $6.50 retail, and you can cable up a half-dozen bikes with what you get. Do your MTB, your wife's bike and your rain bike while you're at it.

Thanks for the info! I'll have my cross frame in a week or so and will start scoping out the build. :) Even though we don't have much (or any) rain in SoCal I still want to use these cable seals. Oh, my mtb buds tell me that cross bikes are showing up on the mtb club rides. Should be a blast to ride the full length of Mulholland (including the dirt) on the Dream.

In the mean time I'm getting reved up for my second RR. Yippers my gut is already tightening up!!

thanks again and good racing to you

Haven't done ANY crits yet but will likely do the Valencia crit in a week and a half. My friend who I ride with a lot is a podium level masters rider and I can hang with him until he does his finish line sprint. I'll be happy if I don't crash (just joking) and finish with the pack.

I think given my size I'm probably better suited for RR's

I'll be using my GEO CT1 Colnago at Valencia so say hello if you see me.
