I'm gonna do a Triathlon this coming May. It's a high school tri, so we got the swim and track team doing it. I'm a good swimmer but only an okay runner(compare to the track team). So I need advice on how to train to get faster on the bike. I figure I need an addition 1 or 2 mph on the 10 mile bike to get me safely in top 5. I can currently go about 20-21 mph (maybe more haven't really ride for speed in a whiel)on flat crit course. I don't think I can be doing it a TT pace, because of the run. Any advice?

|Do some "bricks", where you do a run after riding hard. Doesn't have to be a long run or anything, but just get used to what your legs are going to feel like coming off the bike. As for the speed, well, if you don't already have some clip-on aero bars (and if they're allowed in the race), I'd get those ASAP and get comfortable on them. NOTHING will make a bigger difference in a short time than this. Yes, you CAN go at TT pace on the ride, but you'll want to back off some in the last couple miles and spin a slightly higher cadence to flush out the legs and "freshen them up" a bit going into the run.|

|I have done enought triathlon and biking now that I don't get the noodle feelin in my legs on the run. I already have aerobar. The distance is 500 yd/ 12 mile/ 3 mile.|| |
