|Since it's about time to start working on the build phase of everyone's training plan, I would like to know what everyone does. I am a bit confused as to when to do intense days. Friel says for the Build 1 phase:
Saturday: Race/Group Ride.
I think in LeMond's book he switches Wednesday and Thursday in the Friel plan.
What does everyone recommend?

|Psychologist. Dude! You are obsessing.
Either plan will work fine.
|Definitely stick with Thursdays. It's critical. (nm)||shirt|

|Sign up in www.trainingbible.com and you can ask questions and get responses from Joe himself. And in way more detail than you'll get here. Might get the same info you'd get here, but since you're paying for it, you'll listen!

|if you race both days in a weekend, only do one intense day during the week.
M-very easy (1 hour) or off.
T-endurance with one or two efforts to open up your legs.
W-balls out intervals, motorpace, hard group ride etc.
TH-endurance in an easy gear.
F-easy, about 1 hour at a moderate pace.
if you only race one day, the friel plan is the way to go. riding hard two days a week with two race days is way too much effort. you need the balance of the easy days to get the crap out of your legs. if you can afford it or know a massage therapist, a good rub once a week is good for you too!
