im seriously concidering getting some but am worried about my already wild feet in the sprints.

I don't quite get what you mean by 'wild feet' ... but if you're worried about your feet slipping when pedaling out of the saddle, my answer is this. my feet don't slip at all when hammering out of the saddle. after a while on the pedals, your feet will probably find their natural position, and you won't move them.
if you absolutely can't get used to the float, sell them on eBay (Speedplays are a hot item), and get a pair of Zeros. the float is adjustable.

Could be his feet are not aligned to the pedals right...Mike-Wisc

... with the balls of his feet over the pedal axle. I've seen a few people with their feet mounted too far foreward or too far behind the centerline and their ankles tended to flip all over the place when they cranked hard. I could be wrong though.

I just bought some X2's, wish I'd seen your link above two weeks ago. Oh well.
