|I am a collegiate racer, or at least I am trying to be. So far my first race i mechanicaled on the first lap, sick with a cough for the next 3 weeks of racing, and I just got back from a race that was already full. Maybe someday I'll race, I just hope its soon. |

|No I think that you just have to give yourself some time to improve. Consider this, that at least you are trying to do something. And consider that you are racing while you are in college. You have all that time to improve on you 1st race ,and all the time you have after you graduate from college to pursue it even father. Don't put youself down. Look at it like this, at least you are not 31yrs going on 32yrs old and trying to start racing. All I am going to say to sum this up, is that you will improve overall and you have some good races in the future. Keep on racing dude.|

one new collegiate racer to another. don't get discouraged. hang in there!!!
in my first race, I was 5 miles from the finish in the lead pack. then, someone lost control, and I got catapulted from the bike at 30 miles an hour. when I got up, my handlebars were twisted 40 degrees to the right, and I'd broken a spoke. so, you're not the only unlucky one.
you will be fine. someday - soon - you WILL race.
