|a gym across from my office offers "spinning classes". conceivable, I can jump out of work and fit one in during lunch or before of after work. i'm not thinking more than once- max twice- a week. any experience here? good training for cyclists/triathlete?|

|all I do during the week. Get on good terms with the instructor so they look the other way when you do something completely different.|

|Spinning classes are great IMO, especially if you can do them during lunch. Supplemental lunch hour training (spinning, running & elliptical machine) has been the key for me this year. Really gets the metabolism going. My weight is down, fitness waaay up and I'm mentally fresh...really hoping to make Cat2 this year.
I like spinning because (to me) it's different enough from outdoor riding to be the mental break I need in the off season, but at the same time it works the exact same muscles. Some riders are bugged by the limited bike fit, but it's never bothered me. Also, I've gotten to know some of the spin instructors at my gym, as well as other spinners (I.e. normal people=) which makes it enjoyable...
