What is the recomended intake of protein should a/ me a 135lb (I would like to push 140lbs) daily cyclist receive?

just about 1 gram of protein per pound body weight. I believe .9 grms per pound is perfect.

you can get by with less. 1 gram a pound of bodyweight is the minimum recommended for bodybuilders.

15% of your calories for the day is a good number for protein. Your needs will change by your activity level, and if you adjust your caloric intake to be adequate for your level of activity than this comes out about right.
