Hello all,
I will be traveling to the Sacramento area over the christmas holiday for a few weeks and was looking for information about any races that might be happening in the area then. Any group ride info would be appreciated as well. Thanks

there aren't any. First road races are in early Jan down in Fremont, which isn't exactly in Sac. And the first "real" race is in Feb (Cherry Pie crit in Napa.)

There are some CX races.

Check out http://www.ncnca.org/ for more info.

Check out SGW for group rides: http://sacgw.com/

As shirt suggested the sacramento golden wheelman do a lot of group rides. The River Ride is notorious for being an unofficial race. Don't be surprised if you are riding with pros like Mike Sayers from Mercury.

Also, if you are into driving a couple of hours, you can check out the group ride up north in Redding. It's mostly a CAT 3 affair with some ex-europros joining in. The ride leaves from Sue's Java Cafe at 9 a.m. on Saturdays. For more info E-mail me at dean_william@email.msn.com
