FRIEL'S BIBLE - A QUESTIONmikeg

I have beeng going through Friel's book (very good book) but I am missing something. I have gone through it cover to cover and I am not finding where he adresses the amount of time you should spend doing certain workouts. For example: I am in Base 1 at this point and on my endurance workouts I want to know how long I should be doing them. Okay I figured out my annual hours and my weekly hours (based on my goals on what level rider I wish to achieve to become), however, how much of that weekly time should I spend on let us say an E2 work out? I am confused.

At the end of the chapter that contains the workout menus and weekly workout schedules, there's a table that lists the daily hours. The first amount listed is the long ride, and the other breakdowns are for the other days of the weeks.
