I have these tires but they only come in clincher but Veloflex describes them as open tubulars, a somewhat confusing description. The Pave actually weigh 180 grams. I race with a set of Zipp wheels with Tufo Tubular tires. I use the Tufo Pro S33 which weigh 260 grams and are made for rough roads. Tufo also makes tubular tires that can weigh down to 125 grams but these tires are made for track events. Tufo is the only manufacturer of tubular tires that sell a liquid latex sealant for their tires that instantly seals punctures up to 1/8 inches. The sealant only adds 20 grams per tire for the extra protection. I have over a thousand miles of use without a flat so far (knock on wood). I would stay away from the really inexpensive tubular tires like Vittoria Formula Unos because they are manufactured so poorly. I had a set that came with a flat spot on one tire, a bubble on the other.

don't worry what they weigh. They stick the best, roll the best and last pretty long. And yeah, they're expensive.
