|Anyone have any suggestions or tips for a great post ride leg rub-down?|

|Assuming you mean self-massage, two techniques that work quite well are:
1) active massage - lay on the floor and prop your legs up on a wall or high table. Use your fingers to stroke the muscles toward your torso, starting at your ankles.
2) passive massage - same position, but just leave your legs proped up until they throb heartily. Bring them down (lay on the floor) and then put them back up a few times (30-60 seconds is probably enough time in the elevated position).
I do passive massage all the time after hard rides (too lazy to do the active) and it helps noticably.

|the only purpose of massage is to loosen up a muscle and get rid of lactic acid buildup after a hard ride. Stretching is helpful too, however neither directly aid the muscle recovery process itself.
