Up until recently, I rode exclusively on Axial Pros. Just for fun, I bought a pair of GP 3000 in all black and put them on one of my bikes. I have to say that so far I like the feel of them better than my Axials. I use 700x23 in both brands. The GPs are little narrower and lower profiled than the Axials. They feel like they transition to turning more smoothly than the Axials and just feel more solid in a tight turn. It think it comes from the slightly different profile shape of the Axial. The GP3k seems to have a more unform round profile so the tire feels more natural rolling over onto an edge. The Axials never slid out on me but there is just some undefinable feel I get somtimes when cornering. It's almost like I can feel I am on the edge of traction. Of course, it could all be in my head too. So far, I really can't find a fault with either tire but the Conti just feels a little more sure footed to me.

I have used michelin tires, that was until i tried a GP3000, the GP's have better feel and grip than Michelin, at least in my experience, I have also heard from friends that Michelins are not so good on wet conditions. I would go with the GP3000's.
