|I'm a very new rider, and I want to get into racing. I play div 1 collegiate sports (lightweight crew), so I don't have a lot of time during the year. But I still squeeze in 3-4 30 mile rides a week, weigh 152 lbs, and am in peak shape from all the crew. What should be my next step? Any suggestions?

|Get involved in some group rides. Either with a local club or a bike shop. Use the group riding as a way to gauge your fitness. If your're riding and keeping up with people who race then that will build your confidence. Try to get some info on the local racing sceen and give it a try.
If your impatient or ready to go, check out www.active.com. They have a good database of sactioned and non-sactioned races. Remember a sactioned race will require a USCF License.
