| Leading Democrats should be embarrassed | Live Steam Jan 30, 2004 10:32 AM | | I am starting to hear hints of the idea that the 29 Democrats who voted to support military action in Iraq and the 47 of them that voted for the Patriot Act are now trying to say they were bullied into doing so. Yes these are the leaders we want running our country! Do the words cowardly, indecisive, waffling, wavering and spineless come to mind? LOL!!!!!!!!!!!! How about partisan opportunists? |

| Steam, I've been a biased, partisan . . . . | Cory Jan 30, 2004 11:24 AM | | . . . columnist for more than 20 years, openly advocating my avowedly liberal views in print since 1981, deliberately taking wild-@ss stands somtimes just to stir up the readers, and I have NEVER IN MY LIFE seen anybody who can ignore the other side of an issue like you can. I mean, I do it for a living, and I can't come close.
I don't even know if this is criticism. I stand in awe, man. |

| So who should we be more afraid of? | Live Steam Jan 31, 2004 9:58 AM | | Politicians who vote to send men and women into battle that don't really believe in the cause and are protecting their political careers or politicians who believe that what they are doing is right for this country - even if it goes against what you may believe?
That was a pretty poor answer on your part. Why give them slack on such important issues? Also why give them slack on the Patriot Act when 1.they pretty much wrote it and 2.they flip-flopped on it's merits?
I don't understand their positions on anything. They want our borders secured, yet they don't want to stem immigration or to expel anyone who happens to enter the US illegally. What gives? Ted Kennedy constantly votes against any immigration legislation that would do this, yet he criticizes Bush about the security of our borders. |
