I don't have an ISP at home--it took my company .68 seconds to disable it after they canned me. And since my church has a free cyber cafe & the unemployment office too, I decided I don't need to spend the money on it at home. I don't get here as often anymore, and may never be back in the same day-waisting capacity as before.

I'm leaving corporate America for the most part--I'm burnt out and sick of the politics involved. I can't stand the idea of furthering my IT training when I don't plan to use it long term. The state offers up to $5K per person in re-education assistance for the unemployed. So much for reduced government spending and balanced budgets; but since its available, I might as well take advantage of it. Now I just need to figure out what exactly I want to do with my degree. Thats the problem with starting as a junior, I don't have 2 years to screw around and figure it out. Now, Bush will pay up to $5K of my tuition at Northwestern U for psych. Now I just need to come up with an additional $40K and I'm set! :-)

Thanks for inquiring after me. I'll post something rechidly political later, just so you don't miss me too much.
Good to hear from you again.MR_GRUMPY

Just remember, when things look blackest, when you are in that tunnel of dispair, you will surely find that light at the end of the tunnel. (Either that, or it's a fast moving train headed your way)
Remember that ALL jobs involve politics, and a certain amout of ass kissing.
Stay in touch..............

Education, or at least the piece of paper you get at the end, is well worth it. That $5k will return itself to the government 100x over in your lifetime, or at least that's the theory. You make more, you pay more taxes.

There are cheaper schools around than Northwestern, you know. ;-)

Take care.
