Hey Mr. Moderator(12 posts)

Hey Mr. Moderatorcritmass

Your cheap shot in a thread below is why I see your arguing tactics as disingenuous. I noticed you didn't actually link my headline to my post. Was that because you knew it didn't support your argument and you just didn't care if you misrepresented the truth and that you were using my post out of context or was it that you were just lazy and quickly looking for something to make your point?

Until you present one of my posts where I call Dubya stupid I will consider you to be just another sleazy lawyer who will say anything to make his point. Kinda like Dubya. But then since you are just a simple apologist for him, why not be like him. Do you see all attempts at humor as emotionally immature? Or just those attempts directed at the people you have to believe in no matter the truth?

Are these "emotionally immature and likely amateur" words that you wrote here? "I couldn't stand anything about Clinton, and I'll admit that I'd oppose darn near anything he wanted to do. I not only opposed his politics, but he was simply a slimey person, too. Yes, I was reflexively anti-Clinton, and I won't even attempt to hide behind some contrived arguments against his policies."

Normally I wouldn't even respond to such childish attempts at deception but then you are supposed to be a moderator. I readily admit that Dubya has proven himself to be a manipulative liar to me but.
One more time:
PLEASE PRESENT ONE POST OF MINE WHERE I CALL DUBYA STUPID!
Call me names if you wish, I have no problem calling you a fascist apologist, but at least be honest about it and don't allude to my saying things I haven't.

Here is your post:

I think what you are saying is that the upper echelon of the Left is smart enough not to lower themselves to such tactics. However, there are plenty of people who would qualify, apparently, for your description of "Some on the Left, certainly not all, regularly call Bush stupid. If so, they're emotional, immature and likely amateurs."

To wit:

sorry, out of time

Here is the link to my post and the thread from that headline. The one that you so disingenuously left out. You should read your two posts in the thread too but then that wouldn't serve your purpose would it.

If Cory wanted to he could play your game, but then he is more honest.

Shouldn't you be out shootin frogs with your 22?

And you should have said 'f!scist apologist.' I fear you'll get in trouble for using the 'f' word here. I barely escaped with my life when I used the 'n' word. You'll note I always say 'N!zi' now.

I edited out 16 words that would have just spun him into an apologist fit....No wait ...Rove manipulated that so Tenet and Condi would take all the heat.

Did Ashcrotch make referring to someone as a Fascist a crime when I wasn't looking? But then why would that surprise anyone.

Saying Bush is an idiot isn't all THAT bad. I mean, I'd never say it in PUBLIC, and the Great Civic Debate has to be conducted on higher ground, but just between you and me, amongst us Treasonists, I think he's pretty dim, yeah.

The problem is, he's got some real sharp cookies around him. The Repubs are smarter'n hell, actually. And we need to be as smart as they are if we're ever gonna take this county back from the unelected anti-American junta that's running wild in Wasington these days.

HO! Treason for sure!

Remember? Your team bound and gagged Bobby, then removed him from the trial altogether. God knows what Dailey's boys did to him back in the tank. Nothing better than a good reactionary GOP judge, old nutty Hoffman, to give our team all the ammunition we need to prove f!scism on the right. (I know Dailey was a Dumocrat, but he was a f!scist anyway).

Speaking of flashbacks -- and flashbacks can be most excellent, by the way -- you heard the new stuff from Mellencamp? Awesome.

I wouldn't say he is stupid or dim. He is just another politician who lies when he feels he needs to (the war), when it's an easy way to deflect something (Ken Lay), or when he is trying to get elected (his false "candidness about his past in 2000 or his tax cuts that were really overall tax increases in Texas). Some of the people around him are much more intelligent than he is and that probably causes him problems understanding some strategies. Hence the problems at press conferences. I'll leave campaigning to others. I've done that. From SDS to now I've been opposed to the kind of belligerent violence that Johnson, Nixon, Ray-Gun, Clinton and both Dubya and his daddy have forced on others. I just hope this time it doesn't get to a Johnson scale but I have some serious doubts.

Man, you put a lot of energy into venting on me, huh? Not sure it was worth it, but if you feel better.

I posted direct quotes, copy and paste. What's disingenous about that? One post where you said Bush was an idiot? What am I missing? I thought I did:

"One reason Bush may sound like an idiot so often?"

Maybe you are splitting hairs between "sound like and idiot" and "is an idiot." Fine. We'll let the jury discern the difference.

Also, the words referencing people who call the President stupid ("If so, they're emotional, immature and likely amateurs.")were from Ed.

Remember that the underlying theme, in my view, of this Noncycling Discussions Forum is a little over the top banter among those who are too bored at work but can't go out and ride. Call me lazy and stupid if you want, for even being here. ;-)
