First quote I see:
"Well, a lot of wonderful things have happened in Iraq since July, as you mentioned," said Ambassador Bremer to the media. "We have a cabinet now, with ministers actually conducting affairs of state. We have met all of our goals in restoring essential services. All the schools and hospitals are open. Electricity is back at pre-war levels."
HA HA HA HA HA! I was almost fooled too till I read that!

|I don't get it. What is obviously absurd about that?|

|It reads like a script for a SNL skit. Too bizarre to be true - and then I checked the very bottom of the page, and found.......it's a chickenhead productions parody. Ratz...|

|And I think they've won! Dummycraps is, like, so cooler than Dumocrats.
I think Steam gets the mark for being original, though.

|You can say it in conversation and it will slip past most people :O)|
|OK ... I'll give you ...||sacheson|
Oct 28, 2003 2:19 PM
|... the conversational slip as well. But you have to admit, they got pretty creative with the play on '-crats'.
BTW, do you ever watch the Simpsons? Yesterday when we were talking about what everyone looks like, you mentioned OldEd. If you do watch the Simpsons, and if you've ever seen the episode where Homer becomes a hippy, I think of Ed as one of hippies (Seth and Munchie) that were portrayed by Martin Mull and George Carlin. I'm looking for images, but I can't find them anywhere!
|Then you'll really have to like this :O)||Live Steam|

|DUMOCRAPS Certainly better than theirs, but I still like the ORIGINAL. It's more subtle! :O)
Oh, I found Seth and Munchie on this site. http://mundosimpson.netfirms.com I guess Latinos like the Simpsons too :O)
I see what you mean. I kind of pictured him as a meld of the two. Hey maybe he'll go for a new look. ;O)
|Perfect! He Ed - check this out! (nm)||sacheson|
