They excelled where the Yankees failed - hitting with men in scoring position. Yanks left a ton of men on base. It was over in that 12th inning. IMO

I'm especially happy for Pudge too. I know how hard he took all of those losses with Texas at the hands of the Yankees. He should be richly rewarded next year!

Slashing, bunting at any time, hit and run, steals.... that's good baseball!

I think Pudge is the MVP of the post-season as a whole. His leadership (along with the wise old manager) is a big reason they played as they did, and especially that their young pitching staff pitched as they did. I wish the Cubs had him.

I'm a Cubs fan, so I should have some emnity towards the fish, but I don't. They were tough, and in a perfect world that's exactly the type of team I would like the Cubs to be. Exciting, agressive, unintimidated.

They win about 1 out of every three years - 3:1 is just the historical rate of winning.
