|On my ride yesterday, I passed a Mopar rally/show at Woodley Park in Van Nuys. Although I didn't stop, it was a huge turnout and there seemed to be a pretty big collection of some real beauties.|

|And what a day for a car show: 100 degrees and little to no wind.
The San Fernando Valley seems to be a hotbed of muscle car fanatics. The yearly car show on Van Nuys Boulevard also gets a good showing. On a ride last weekend, I saw a fluorescent lime-green GTX. Although it was a nice car, the term "cherry" didn't seem to fit considering the color.

|yeah, the 70-71 "high impact" colors are somewhat shocking. I think that one's call "go green." I'm a bit more into the earlier cars--for the GTX I like the 67 and 68s.|

|...on Van Nuys Blvd was a "car show"--cruising from the Bob's Big Boy at Roscoe down to the Bob's Big Boy near Magnolia, and then going back up, in the '66 Charger with a Street Hemi (lavender metalflake, Cragars, Hurst, rollbar, b!tchin' 8-track) that my buddy's parents bought him...most terrifying car I've ever ridden in. I seriously though I was going to die if I didn't get a '68 Roadrunner somehow, even if I had to "settle" for a 383....|| |
