...but obviously not as much as the Sox... :^)

Now that I live in the Bronx, I don't feel so bad about rooting for the Yankees. Red Sox fans have always amused me though. Who else would wear a "Yankees Suck" T-shirt to a game when it's not even a Yankees game?!

The curse continues...

Say what do you think the Sox are going to do with that World Series logo they so boldenly painted on the field behind home plate at Fenway? Maybe they can get something for it on Ebay! LOL!!! The curse lives on!!!

"boldly" leave it there for next year? One can always hope.

Then again, I really don't care. I enjoy sports, but I don't get into them. If I could name all the players on a professional team, I would be disgusted with myself for wasting so much time. I'd rather be playing sports than watching them... Of course, I'd rather be riding my bike than playing baseball any day!

that they chant "Yankees Suck" at games even when the opponent isn't the Yankees? Now that's a complex!

I love watching sports, but also like you, I prefer participating. I was really bummed when I dislocated my shoulder skiing. It killed my baseball/softball career. I used to play 3rd and throwing the ball across the infield became a very painful experience.

So the SOX Series dreams get tripped up by the Ghost of the Babe again - LITERALLY! How about that play at first on Matsui's grounder? I think the Ghost of the Babe stuck his foot out and tripped Millar. Maybe the SOX should have called player interference! LOL!!!

I'm not sure how often it happens, but they do say it.

I also have a shoulder problem which prevents me from being a pro baseball player... ;^)
But seriously, I injured my right shoulder swimming (yes, swimming - apparently, it's a fairly common problem from doing "Butterfly") and it has been limiting certain sports since 1997. I feel your pain.

I only could dream about playing pro ball. I was a good ball player, but not even good enough to get scouted like some of the guys I did play with. Two of my teammates were scouted frequently and both played Division 1 ball. I was actually a better soccer player and was looked at for being recruited by quite a few colleges. My real passion was playing hockey, but there again I was just an average goalie. Oh well maybe in another life :O)

Hey you know what's funny about my shoulder - I can't really throw a ball any more without pain, but I can play beach volleyball all day. Go figure :O)

The last game I was at in Fenway the crowd started chanting "Yankees Suck" and they were not even playing the socks that day...

That day I also saw a tshirt that said "Yankees Suck" on the front and "Jeter swallows" on the back...

The other day I was talking to a guy who was in the Boston area at a rally after the Patriots won the Super Bowl. Just for the hell of it he, started shouting "YANKEES SUCK!" The entire crowd joined in, apparently forgetting all about the fact that their football team had just won the Super Bowl. Despite my extreme dislike of the Yankees and the SF Giants, that level of obsession with hatred of a sports team amazes me.
