Does anyone have any recomendations for a free popup blocker? We just started using a cable ISP so we are always connected but what happens is even when I dont have IE open, I get a crapload of popups? any other hints/suggestions on the use of cable internet service would be greatly appreciated...

Get it here http://toolbar.google.com/ VERY handy and blocks pop-ups very well.

First I recommend that you download Spybot and SpywareBlaster. This is probably the source of your pop-ups. Then get PopSwatter. I think they are all freeware and available at http://www.zdnet.com. Popswatter and Pop-up Blocker are available on different tool bar add-ons such as Google Bar and mywebsearch. Hope this helps.

Better than IE with integrated popup blocking (and integrated google toolbar!).
