because I have never heard McNabb as considered a great QB, except in college. Great hopes coming out of Syracuse, but then so are a lot of players after great college careers. On the pro level, I have always heard and read about the Eagles defense being great but never McNabb. It's always been, "If McNabb and the offense can just do enough..." Has the media really hyped him as one of the top QBs in the league? I just don't see it.

Your opinion may vary...

Are they all on national TV ? That makes a big difference.
Will these articles cause their companies to loose big money?
It's one thing for some oped writer to spout something on the web or in a newspaper, it's another to spew it on national TV...... Big difference.
Likewise, if he had never said the things that he did say. Would he still be on camera, after all this drug mess came out? I think not..
