Hey, looking for suggestions for things to do in Seattle. We know about the Fish Market, Space Needle, and few other mainstays. Also know that is Bumbershoot weekend, but hoping to get some insider information on it. Like is it too late to get tickets and/or can we pick there up once we are there? Wouldn't mind finding some beautiful, quiet place along the coast and/or checking out the islands. This our first trip out that way. No bikes this trips.

if that's what the boat is still called. It's a great way to see the Sound, and Victoria is a lovely place. (Not really a seattle activity, I realize.) While some folks might call the Sound the coast, most don't.

In town, Discovery Park (an old Army post) at the northern mouth of Ellliot Bay is great for walks to see the water. Kerry Park on Queen Anne Hill has a great in-town view of the city.
I'll second the trip to Victoriaempacher6seat

Only because it's my home town :).

It's a beautiful place to stroll around for a day or two. Great parks, shops, lots of history. If you're bringing your bike I can recommend several sweet rides.

Have to see if we can make it up to Victoria. Might have to save that for some other trip. Thanks again.
