What are the logistics of the California election?Spoke Wrench

Is there some kind of primary for candidates? Will they be listed by party? Is it a 250 candidate free-for-all? How are they going to do it?

What's the record for percentage of spoiled ballots? If people vote every page, like they're used to doing, that ballot will be spoiled. Is there some kind of quarum, like if more than 50% of ballots are spoiled will they have to hold another election?

This is going to be enjoyable to watch from Missouri.
No primary. It's a free-for-all. Names in random order.OldEdScott

Chaos should reign. Plus, there's no threshold for winning. Just whoever gets the most votes. You could win with LESS votes as a percentage of votes cast than the number of votes favoring the recall of Davis. Hell, you could theoretically win with 1 percent of the vote.

Don't worry, the U.S. Supreme Court is ready, willing and demonstrably able to sort this all out and install a pre-ordained Republican governor, should spoiled or weird ballots become an issue.

I just love to here dems cry. The dems have been in total control of CA. for the bast six years. The state is in the worst condition of any state in the nation. The highest debt, the worst schools based on dollars spent, the worst workers comp. Business leaving everyday. The recall has been voted on by voters of both parties not the supreme court. It's govern. at work, unlike the Davis Admin. To all the rest of the states. This is what happens when Dems run the show. Now I must go to work to pay my tripled Vehic. tax that was just signed not voted on. Oh sorry it's not a tax it's a fee. LOL
Well, 'here' this then. It's all the goofy 'propositions' I'mOldEdScott

sure you voted for over the years, coupled with vast Enron-Cheney corruption, that put California in the shape it's in, and NO Dem and NO Repub is going to be able to fix it until you guys get your heads ... straight. Plenty of blame to go around. Do you 'here' that?

Plenty of blame of course. But the Enron is such a small % of the total debt. And yes no one will be able to fix till many of those already in office change their ways. And I vote no on 99% of the props. just for this reason. I still love to hear dems. cry. Nothing personal also loved to hear Reb. cry when Clinton whupped um. Cried a little myself.

All 150 candidates have to get naked in a big tub filled with Power Gel. They have to fight over a small pig that is filled with laxatives. The winner is the one who can hold the pig for 30 seconds. This will be broadcast on local TV, with expected ratings near all-time records.
