How about a 2-week ban on "liberal" and "conservative"?Silverback

What if, instead of hurling labels at each other, we actually debated ISSUES instead? "Liberal" and "conservative" have been thrown around here so much, and so often by people who don't quite seem to understand them, that they're in the way. If you have something to say, just freaking SAY it, without sticking a tag on it.
No? Well, I didn't really think so....
hmmm....that added a lot to the discussion on this board (nm)94Nole

Is banning words a Liberal idea?Continental

It seems like Liberal's don't like the Liberal label. Is a proposal to ban the words "Liberal" and "Conservative" the next step in the PC movement? I'm a godless, gay-sympathizing, anti-nationalistic social Liberal. I'm also pragmatic, pro-military, pro-big business, fiscal conservative.
that would be like banning campy vs shimanoColnagoFE

Could we eliminate labels entirely? This would include "stupid, redneck, Nazi, right wing extremist" etc.? I don't think it's possible.
