...pushes through a law so he can succeed Bush after W's second term. Then that opens the door for Blair in 2016...

Naah, Jesse's toast--WAY too many people won't vote for him solely on race, even if he weren't the world's third most-annoying human.
But if Ahhnuld were to change his mind in, say, 2008, it would pose a problem for what few WWII vets will remain. On the one hand, he'd be the Republican, which means they'd want to back him. But that whole German thing (I know he's Austrian, but they don't differentiate) would have them talking about Hitler. Sounds farfetched, but any time I write about a German or Japanese car, or any other major product, I get mail about Pearl Harbor or Auschwitz. We'd find out all about every member of his family going back to the Hanse.
